After witnessing such a beautiful moment of love and kindness this weekend; instead of my originally planned post, I decided to share a poem I came across once not realizing at the time that it was inspired by 1CORITHIANS 13:4-8.
Love is patient and kind;
love is not jealous or boastful;
it is not arrogant or rude.
Love does not insist
on it’s own way
it is not irritable or resentful;
it does not rejoice at wrong;
but rejoices in the right.
Love bears all things,
believes all things,
hopes all things,
endures all things,
Love never fails…

Glad you enjoyed it. I can’t take credit though. I found it years ago and it paraphrased form the book of Corinthians.

Although I’ve had a few poems published, I don’t consider myself to be a poet because I struggle to get them out like I’d want to. I usually post a poem last minute after time restraints during the week just to stay consistent w/ my Sunday post. Have you read my poems “5thgeneration girl” or “12 hour shift” on my blog? You may enjoy them as well. Thanks for visiting my friend!

Aww that’s great that your poems got published! But don’t worry just be raw with your thoughts while writing one! I will definitely check out the poems you mentioned!

That is exactly how many describe me when it comes to my writing, “raw & uncut”, lol.

Indeed it is! And that is a great quality you have that you express your emotions with no filtering which helps the readers to connect and relate!

So beautiful, so true. But be careful as ‘some’ are faking it to take advantage of people with good hearts. I know. I experienced it.

Yes, unfortunate but true. At my age I’ve seen and experienced it all my friends. Thanks!

This is one of my favorite passages from the Bible, and a very appropriate reminder as noted in the words of your poem Tammy! 🤗 Thanks so much for spreading love today. If only people will hear attentively and respond accordingly, we can change the world! 🌎🥰🌏 Enjoy the rest of your Sunday my dear!!! 💝💐💖

I agree with you QT 💯. If someone doesn’t return such kindness, you never allow their ignorance to change who you are, and what you are made up of! 🤜🏼🤛🏼 Hugs and smooches Queen! 🤗👑😘

This is one of my favorites…read at my wedding decades ago. One might say that that particular love did fail, since the marriage ended in divorce. But it did not…it resulted in my son, and it taught me things that helped me grow. Yes indeed, Love Never Fails ❤

Yes , all about perspective and of course FAITH!. People often ask why I don’t “hate” my ex, lol. I focus on the good things & lessons I took when it ended❣️

If we would all live according to the two great commandments, to love God with everything and love our neighbor as ourselves, we would live in a much different and better world.

I love this verse, we included it in our wedding vows, which many people do and I have a copy of it near my desk to remind what love looks like so I can emulate that. Or try.

I hadn’t realized it was so popular for wedding vows, many have told me that recently. I too keep a copy near on a book mark as a reminder in general 😊
